At the yearly Keukenhof show visitors could vote on their favorite Calla. Out of 10 new varieties the black calla Captain Carrera is voted as best calla introduction 2015.
The Carrera is one of the calla’s with the biggest headsize. Therefore the best Carrera’s are bunched on 5. Carrera has a true deep black colour and sturdy stems. Conclusion: The Carrera is a real eye catcher!
In 2015 the Carrera was available is small amounts. In 2016 there is no availability of Carrera, however in 2017 Carrera will be available in bigger amounts. For 2016 I have choosen the Carrera Kloon 9999 as replacement of the Carrera. This Calla is quite similar in color and headsize, the only difference is that 9999 has a shining black colour.
